James Arthur “Arty” Hartshorne, lidded cigarette jar

Lidded cigarette jar.

Modelled as a smoker, the cigarette smoke perhaps rising into the smoker's left eye causing it to partially close. The lid modelled as a wide-brimmed hat, the back scored to make a matchstrike, the top indented to act as a rest for a cigarette, and the back upturned to form an ashtray within the hat’s brim.
