Lidded tobacco jar (humidor) with slip-painted design

Slip-painted tobacco jar and lid, decorated with swirling green foliage and the word “Tobacco”. 

The lid is designed to be airtight, as it has a rubber seal and a round-headed screw-threaded metal fastening to secure the lid to the jar. This style of airtight tobacco container is known as a “humidor”, designed to keep the tobacco moist.
